I just really need you to think before you say something like that. Do you not realize how completely unnecessary your comment was?

Just imagine if you posted your dream physique and had a bunch of girls commenting on how they don't find it attractive? Even if you said it didnt, it would probably still effect you and be in the back of your mind. That's what girls go through all the time on here. Everytime a female bodybuilder is posted we get a bunch of comments of how "that's not my type"

It adds nothing to the discussion, and is only detrimental to people who want to achieve what she has. Instead of telling me to calm down, I'd much rather you edit your comment and remove that unnecessary quip. Women are already underrepresented on this sub, and I'd rather see them see this community as a place of support, than to see comments that might have them turn away from the sub.

That's what I'm trying to get across to you. We're here as a community of bodybuilders and bodybuilder enthusiasts. If you wanna talk about how you think she has great traps or pecs, or could bring up her delts a little more than awesome. But there's no need to discuss sexual attraction. We're here to judge on the subjective sport of bodybuilding, not to judge on whats subjectively sexy. I don't care if it's a niche or a fetish a only a few people happen to be into, there's no need to comment on it.

At this point you're just in the wrong. I'm trying to show you how wrong you're being and you're just doubling down, being an ass and not being empathetic to the female members of the community. I'm writing these "novels" to try and help you gain some perspective. At the end of the day you can do whatever you chose, but I hope you'll see another point of few of your comments instead of lashing out in self defense and making assumptions that I'm a woman because I want female bodybuilders to feel supported here.

I'm not here to discuss whether or not female bodybuilding or bodybuilding in general discourages the average gym goer. I'm here to tell you that your comment is discouraging. And not only discouraging but unnecessary. If it were necessary or relevant to the conversation I'd leave you be, but it just wasnt.

I look at this sub as an advice column, and a support group. We've all chosen this path even though we might catch flack from non-bodybuilders for it but we can come here to be understood. As long as I've been apart of this sub, it's been like that, and as long as I'm here I will continue to point out discouraging comments like yours so that everyone here who's made the choice to bodybuild feels supported. That goes for men and women, classic bodybuilders or physique. Whatever your goals are, I think you should be able to come here and feel supported.
