I’m scared to google this. Is that actually legitimately just staples as in staples for paper (or even skin)?

Yes, it’s legitimately just skin stapling.  (Note: please don’t ever do this with paper staples.  Just avoid it.)  People use surgical staples on themselves, and you can sometimes like thread ribbon and stuff to make corset designs (or other designs) and whatnot.  It’s actually not that bad; if you use the surgical staples, it only penetrates the first layer or so of epidermis, and really doesn’t leave a scar.  People also sometimes will do zippers- put them in a line, thread them up, and then rip them out.  Personally not my cup of tea, but people are into it.

I’m generally not into stingy pain, and I’ve tried needles before and didn’t like them, so I put off trying staples.  But going in it just feels kind of like a dull pinch, and I really didn’t feel anything until like ten minutes later when it started getting pretty stingy.  I won’t be lining up to do it all the time, but all-in-all I’ve had worse experiences.

I think the Les Misérables fandom focuses so much on Enjolras’s asexuality (not that I have a problem with that) that they forget just how ace and aro Jean Valjean is

Enjolras from Les Mis is totally aro.

I just tried a staple for the first time, actually not that bad.

Not a big fan of sharps/stingy, had needles before and wasn’t a fan, but staples are sort of oddly comfortable (granted I only have one in).

If I put up a donate button with the express purpose of raising money to travel and present my workshop, would you guys donate?

Something I’ve noticed since discovering asexuality: I don’t feel the need to enjoy sexual performances the way I used to.

When I came to Wicked five years ago, I was the loudest in the crowd at burlesque. I enjoyed myself, but I felt odd about the formulaic appearance of the strip teases, and I felt like I wasn’t enjoying it like I should, so I overcompensated. Five years later, I saw the burlesque show again because my friend wanted to, and I felt more comfortable. I still don’t understand what’s so sexy about everyone peeling off elbow length gloves (although some of those bra and panty sets need to be mine like, yesterday), but I can enjoy it because the dancers are funny, and the story is kind of cute, and blah blah. I’m aware other people are in it for much more carnal reasons, but even though I didn’t necessarily want to be there, I didn’t feel the need to try and enjoy it the way everyone else was. I found my own amusement in it.

Some quick LGBT+ badges I whipped up. Check the captions for the sexuality/gender. I apologize if I’m missing some or if some of the above colors are wrong. If there’s a mistake, just shoot me an ask and I’ll fix. Also if you want a gender/sexuality that isn’t featured, you can shoot me an ask as well!

Hope you like and feel free to use with credit! ^^

When I explain a queer term to a queer person:

Oh.

Oh. oh.

So I’m—I’m not—it’s a thing. I’m not broken.

When I explain a queer term to a non-queer person:

Aren’t you just making the problem worse by making up all these words?

Why do you even need labels!
