Cutie Patootie Lemon Fruitie!
Simple, we just split terms. Here’s what I propose:
Gender Non-Conforming (or GNC for short) or a similar term. This term would mean, ‘I do not agree with the gender and connotations of the gender I was assigned at birth’. This would be the umbrella term people seem to want…
I love how the plan is basically “treat trans folks who don’t feel physical dysphoria like they aren’t actually trans” which is literally the same shit that’s going on right now
This is not a new idea
You are not creative
You’re perpetuating ideas about the human body being an innately gendered thing which is a cissexist social construct that hurts us all.
Stop it
I really do love how this poster was like ” lets solve this debate by just giving truscum what they want”.
Okay but can’t you see how it would benefit both sides? The point of this is to get both sides quicker more effective treatments in the psychology and medical fields based on the different needs of dysphoric and non-dysphoric individuals. That’s it. It’s not to exclude anyone, it’s not to invalidate anyone. Honestly I’m fine with changing my perceptions of a non-dysphoric individual to however they would like me to see them. I’m fine with everyone’s chosen names, pronouns, and transition paths. However my needs as someone who has dysphoria are different than the needs of those who do not. There’s just a want for someone to go in and say “Hey, I’m this term” which would denote that I have dysphoria so they can go in knowing that my personal journey will include trying my best to lessen the effects of dysphoria. And I want people who don’t have dysphoria to be able to go in and say “Hey I’m this other term” which would denote a lack of dysphoria so that non-dysphoric individuals don’t have to waste time trying to explain that no they don’t have dysphoria and that traditional paths taken by dysphoric people are not for that individual.
That’s it.
I understand what you are saying; however, by the way this would work it does in fact invalidate the identities of trans people without dysphoria by the way of saying “you’re not really trans you are ____.” What you are saying is “trans people experience dysphoria and that just the way it is… all you over there should shut up and accept the labels chosen for you by us real trans people.”
My question is why couldn’t I go in and say “Hi i am a trans person who experiences dysphoria” and those who don’t go in and say ” Hi, I am a trans person who does not experience dysphoria.”. Wouldn’t that resolve the issues of delineation within the medical establishment while respecting people’s rights to self-identification?
This entire “compromise” seems built on the notion that trans people without dysphoria aren’t trans. Thats not a compromise, thats a rehashing of truscum beliefs.
I like this, its a fun compromise I’m going to use it from now on. “Let’s compromise you say your wrong and I’m right, then lick my ass hole and let me call you whatever the heck I want.”
Nice “compromise” bro. I’m gonna go will.
NO, I hope your left I itches forever and every time you rub it puffs up and pusses.
