Liberals only respect the rule of law and Constitution as long as it promotes their agenda. The minute the Law or Constitution become an obstacle to their ideals, they are discarded in favor of ideological abstracts like "the good of society," "for equality" or the ever-moving moral compass they claim to have.

I bet a billion they will have an instant change of heart on that outlook when Scott Walker gets into the White House.

This is where Obama can be setting very bad precedents going forward for both sides.

This executive branch needs to be checked, and quickly. The law is not Obama's to write. The law is not Holder's to enforce as he sees fit.

They're very short-sighted - the Left.

They're very short-sighted - the Left.

In the matter of reforming things, as distinct from deforming them, there is one plain and simple principle; a principle which will probably be called a paradox. There exists in such a case a certain institution or law; let us say, for the sake of simplicity, a fence or gate erected across a road. The more modern type of reformer goes gaily up to it and says, “I don’t see the use of this; let us clear it away.” To which the more intelligent type of reformer will do well to answer: “If you don’t see the use of it, I certainly won’t let you clear it away. Go away and think. Then, when you can come back and tell me that you do see the use of it, I may allow you to destroy it. -GK Chesterton

I don't like what Obama is doing, but I disagree that they are short-sighted and that this sets a precedent. Andrew Jackson was the first one to be shown with their signature ass as a mascot in a political cartoon. He had a vendetta against the Seminole Indians. The Seminoles actually sued the Federal Government over land being forcefully taken. The Seminoles won in the Supreme Court, and Jackson said, "Fine, you have your ruling. Now lets see you enforce it." Jackson went on forcibly remove the Seminoles from their land using the US Army. After 2 terms, Jackson pushed for Martin Van Buren to be elected and attempted to use Van Buren as a puppet. John Quincy Adams ran against Van Buren to stop the abuse of power.
Although this story is from our country's early days, we are facing similar circumstances now. Democrats campaign on the notion of "taking care of the common man" and the middle class, but end up being self-serving narcissist.

Not surprisingly, they are too dumb to realize that republicans would be able to do the same thing when they have full control.
