I deleted a fact about the measles vaccine causing 108 deaths in the US in the past 10 years, while no one died of the disease, because the comparison was skewed to make vaccines seem more threatening. I want my followers to know I appreciate the concern raised by them towards such an important topic. My intention on this blog is never to provide a one-sided argument, but instead get you guys the facts that you need to see. In this instance, my source was not researched enough and as a result, I posted a piece of factual information that was written with a bias. While I do not “write” or come up with the facts on here as they are just snippets of different articles and factoids, I will be more vigilant in proof-reading and fact-checking everything that goes up on this blog. The fact made getting a vaccine seem the greater of the two evils (as death is obviously bad in any circumstance) but part of why the U.S. has had so few deaths due to Measles is what is referred to as “herd immunity”, meaning we have a lot of the population vaccinated which prevents the spread of the disease. Albeit, I was quick to post the information without fully looking into it, and I want to apologize. I will do more to ensure everything on nowyoukno is verified. Thank you for following and keeping me in check. Best! :-)
