cishets don’t *need* hedwig in order to help them deal with homophobia, whereas a lot of my queer friends and I have had moments in our lives where we felt we’d be unable to cope with homophobia had it not been for Hedwig, so to me, it kind-of should be for us because we’re the ones that need it, and I know cishets might need Hedwig for other reasons, but at the very least, this fandom needs to be a safe-space for queer people, and it certainly doesn’t seem like one right now
