I wish Christians could live with the same freedom in Muslim countries as Muslims do in Christian countries.

I'm from Saudi and I absolutley agree with you. I have heard many educated Saudis say how can we limit the freedoms of foreigners living here when they allow us to build mosques in their countries and practice our religion freely. I hope one day we extend you the same courtesy you guys have.

I heard that every bible ends up in a shredder when people visit your country. Is that true or not?

I don't know. There are more than a million Christians living in the country, mostly Filipino workers. Unfortunately Christians and other religions aren't allowed to practice their faith openly.

Lol what the F!$@? No, Muslims honor the Bible, too, it's just that we don't think it's inerrant. No Muslim would dare disrespect a Bible, the Tanakh, the Talmud, the Gospels, etc.

If only Muslims could even live free in Muslim countries. That's probably a good place to start.

They could, but they'll need to deal with dirty looks.

Once upon a time Jews and Christians were afforded rights and freedom of belief in Muslim lands - freedoms that were nonexistent elsewhere. In fact Maimonides, the father of modern Judaism, was allowed to flourish in Islamic Spain. Unfortunately, those days are long gone in most 'Islamic' countries.

In specific places I believe..... like any religious group muslims had their part in pillaging and ethnic cleansing in the past as well.

You're right, it was in specific places.

I should be offended but I'm too ashamed to. I don't care about "Muslim" or "Christian" countries, but I do wish my country have better human rights record.

Two-thirds of Lebanon's Christians believe Hezbollah is protecting country

I find that generally Shia are better able to empathize with Christians in the region, because they're used to being a minority as well.

    Edit:Clarification

    Nice diversion.

It's the killing they do outside Lebanon that has people condemning them. This was discovered back in 2013 after Hezbollah lied about being uninvolved in Syrian conflict.

BBC: Hezbollah condemned for 'attack on Syrian villages'

After being caught, he came out like a James Bond villain, saying:

If Syria falls in the hands of America, Israel and the takfiris, the people of our region will go into a dark period."

They've been killing more since of course.

‌Hezbullah doesn't do "killings" for religious reasons.

Has BBC mentioned "coalition" 'attacks on Syrian villages' when the villages are DAESH-held?

That's irrelevant, as if that somehow makes mass murder of innocent Syrians less wrong.

    Unless you're a psycho.

No, I'm a realist. And I‌ can smell your agenda from this far away.

    Have a nice day.

For the record, I believe Christians & Muslims (and others) deserve protection, I just don't like it when people defend murderers just coz the murderers happen to protect those they like.

There's no moral good in such a position.

Whichever country you live in, go tell that to its police and military. Also, give yourself a long hard look in the mirror.

I'm in America, half my family is Christian you pretentious prick. I'm the minority here.

If, for example, you're gonna condemn terrorism by Israel in Lebanon only to support terrorism by Hezbollah in Syria, then at least be upfront about it rather than a hypocrite.

Sunnis are a minority in Lebanon, too.

Lol. You're moderator and supporter of r/Hezbollah, aren't you?

What exactly do you know about protecting minorities - Hezbollah has been helping the biggest mass murderer in the middle east.

So are you disagreeing with me? If you are, you did a pretty bad job

No I'm calling you a hypocrite.

Support humans rights over here, kill humans rights over there.

Who's protecting the Lebanese Christians and Muslims from the Syrian war spilling over? Hezbollah.

67% of Lebanese Christians think Hezbollah is protecting the country, I am not a hypocrite:

So what, no one blames Bush protected americans in US, they blame him for slaughtering non-americans outside US. He is now known as one of worst presidents in history.

Similarly, no one blames Hezbollah for protecting Lebanon, it's what they do outside of Lebanon that has people criticizing them. Nasrallah lied about his support of Bashar until....oooops....

BBC: Hezbollah condemned for 'attack on Syrian villages'

Washington Post discovered they also aren't as civil as they seem inside Lebanon

In recent years, Hezbollah has turned increasingly toward using violence against domestic challengers.

I don't get how you can criticize Hezbollah for crossing into Syria to attack the FSA, the organization that operates against Hezbollah's interests. Anyways, my original comment has nothing to do with Hezbollah and it was immature for you to even bring it into the conversation, I though everyone could agree on that but obviously not.

The difference is, I'm against all forms of terrorism, whether from US, Israel or Hezbollah or ISIS or Assad.

By supporting Assad or what Hezbollah does in Syria, then you just prefer some terrorism over others, you're not really against it in all cases.

I'm just supporting the people who are going to protect my family, that's all it is really.

I understand & sympathize, but it's not a good position to uphold.

Anyway, may God protect your family.

    Assad over Daesh.

Problem with supporting one terrorist over another is that you're still supporting terrorism.

They did and even had more for 1400 years.
