Pre-ordered 1 Lucina just in case I can't get my hands on a US one. If I manage to Pre-order a US one, I'll probably cancel the UK one.

You're just taking our stock please stop.

exactly my sentiments.

Dude, the americans are stuggling to collect amiibo, with 1 particular scalper trying to get hunderds of some characters. Let them pre-order the amiibos, there'e plenty of stock in Europe.

Dude, so are the British.

really? us British are struggling as well?

Yes.

didn't know that, thanks for telling me. TBH I did had an issue with my Captain Falcon and Little Mac pre-orders, I pre-ordered them in GAME and when I went to pick them up they told me that no stock was available, after a week or two later I got my money back cause I never got them.

No there's fucking not in the UK. We have had fucking zero Rosalina while every American had a fair chance on Sunday. Villager is literally impossible to get, same with Little Mac. And now Ness etc. is completely pre-ordered out here. Collectors are struggling here too. Just because there's those funny pics from Germany doesn't mean it's like that all over Europe which consists of 50 countries.

wow, I got it all wrong about europe. Sorry about that mate. Well I can't pre-order Ness, Lucina and Robin now. But some americans said that they will drop the uk pre-order when the us pre-order becomes available. Pac-Man, Charizard and Wario are still available to pre-order and I've done that already. So I just gotta wait for the other to become available as well.

It's fine. It's very frustrating for Americans thinking they're the only people with problems when Nintendo UK is equally as shit with supply and demand :P

i'm from Mexico, right next to US, and we barely got Wave 2... wave 3 will arrive according to game stores in 2 months so yeah...

Admittedly, there's nothing we can do - and I'm not going to say Oi, Americans can you stop preordering your amiibos and stealing our stock. Because ultimately, they are rare - just it really winds me up, because all we see on this very niche part of reddit is americans whinging and moaning about how rare, how awful, how difficult it is to get amiibos. I can categorically tell you, it is exactly the same here in the UK. Not only are we dealing with the same scalpers, but also the fact that amiibos have gone up in price and retailers like the US have cancelled preorders. So yeah, when it goes up and half an hour later they are all sold out - we do get pissed off or at least I do.

I see what you mean, I'm sure the pre-orders will come up again later on, we just have to wait.

You are right about Rosalina, she never became available to pre-order, but the rest of Wave 3 was.

did you know that someone has bought over 200 Rosalina amiibos and wants to buy as many as he can, then he might resell them in the future. He's gonna do the same by buying over 100 of other characters which some of them are Robin, Lucina, Palutena, Game and Watch, Duck Hunt and Ness.

Exactly. All of our pre orders seem to go up midday when no one can get to them because they're working or at school. I've had many orders cancelled and the worst thing is very few shops sell amiibo here compared to the US

honestly, most of the people who pre ordered from amazon.co.uk, will cancel once the pre orders are available on amazon.com, so relax, and.. well... sorry... nothing personal honestly, but here (united states and mexico) it's really hard to get certain amiibos ...

yeah it's hard to get certain amiibos anywhere - the UK is as bad as the States. The UK is not part of mainland Europe, so stop thinking that we get tons of Amiibos like Germany.

umm.. ok? sorry, anyway, the point was most of the people outside UK will cancel pre orders once they are available, besides... not to sound rude but.. i really doubt people from europe doesn't do the same with US stock...

de but.. i really doubt people from europe doesn't do the same with US stock...

We really don't. Normally we'd have a few days to pre-order our figures on Amazon and we'd be set but now because of Americans who think that their collecting needs are more important than ours, I can't get the amiibo I want from my Amazon because a bunch of Americans can't just wait for their own stores to put them up for pre-order. We won't even get a lot of these in store. The flagship store in my city Game (equivalent to Gamestop in the UK) got no Rosalina and neither did any toy stores. Literally no stores got any at all. All Americans had a chance on Sunday morning and yet because of Americans taking our country's pre-orders we couldn't even get her online. So yeah I'm pissed that I haven't got a Ness pre-ordered because a bunch of impatient Americans can't just wait for their stores.

i don[t have those chances dude, i live in mexico, i cannot go on sunday to be in a row to get one single amiibo, i understand your point, but i cannot speak for someone else, sorry, i was just repeating what some people was saying

btw, here in mexico, there are only 2 stores where we can get amiibo officialy, and none of them received pit[s, c. falcon, they have been cancelling our pre orders, wave 3 will arrive in 2 months... i kinda understand your situation guys, so sorry, however, i cannot completely understand since i'm not form the US

We wouldn't buy them from the US, the shipping and exchange rate would be horrible, it would be so much easier to just order from elsewhere in Europe and then try Japan/China. US would literally be the last choice for people in the UK.

i didn't know that, sorry, i suppose you get to see a bigger impact, i get to pay a lot of money to get one single amiibo (i'm not in the us) so i kinda understand your point

I'm not upset about people from America buying the Amiibo to be fair because I understand why there doing it but people pre ordering just so they can cancel as soon as they find the Amiibo in the US isn't right. For one it messes around the companies, if Amazon suddenly start having mass cancels on orders, they aren't going to keep stocking them, plus a lot of the sellers on Amazon aren't Amazon themselves but other smaller companies selling through Amazon and it can really hit them hard. Secondly its not fair for the UK customers who have to wait for one Lucina to appear at a time when each one gets cancelled. It makes it so much harder to hunt them down. Even though I've managed to order both Lucina and Robin I feel really bad for others in the UK, because now there demand will leak into other countries stock.

i see... you've got a point honestly

would there be a way to avoid this? since i don[t think amazon will start cancelling their international orders

I think it is possible that Amazon might start cancelling orders. I can't say for certain but I believe Amazon might have oversold. The new wave of Amiibo's had a window of about 30 minutes before being out of stock, with that many orders its possible they could have oversold, however I can't confirm this. I also can't guarantee Amazon cancelling orders for people who have ordered more than one of the same Amiibo but they might decide to. If they do they will definitely cancel the US orders first. Amazon is split between a few different versions, mainly the EU(including the UK) one is separate to the US one. This means any money made from US customers will be in dollars and will cost money for Amazon EU through the exchange rate ( the exchange rate can vary everyday, if its for example £1 to $2 it could be £1 to $1.80 before the end of the day) this shows they will lose money and cancels the orders. Now this means the stock can be released again for the UK however this means they have lost customers, have to resell stock and put off ordering new stock which could have led to more customers. There's no way to avoid it now but its possible they could stop orders from the US, this also helps boost the sales for American Amazon which although they are separate they do still help each, the only reason the money is kept separate and that is for tax reasons and such.
