You will have to prove it. The simplest explanation is that they want people to work on Saturday from time to time and don't want the hassle of someone calling their union on the pretext that their religion prohibits it.

Right, because the only possible way that someone might refuse to work Saturday is if they're Jewish. In a country where Muslims outnumber Jews by 10:1.

I don't have to prove shit. I'm just arguing on the internet, not in a courtroom.

Wait what, why would muslims not work on the sabbath?

It's less formalized but Friday is a prayer day in Islam and many Muslims either take the day off, or stop working mid-day as a result.

Many muslims in France take Friday off or stop working mid-day?

Actually lots of people in France do, Muslim or not. Google "35 hour work week."

I think he's saying that other people, muslims included, might have shit to do on Saturdays (god knows I've ignored that 7am call over and over when I just wanted to have a day to myself). They could just ASK whether the applicants would come in on Saturday, at the interview stage or just in call-backs.

The vast majority of Jews will work on Saturday. This is about being Jewish, not about scheduling.

Lots of Jews work on Saturday as well.

Honestly most do, this is just straight racism.
