I've not followed shit about her (since I generally don't give a single fuck about her) but is there confirmation that she's an active meth user? Or is there just evidence that she once used so that's being held up as proof that she's still a user?

Forgive my ignorance, I generally don't bother with the petty "he said/she said" nonsense with the bigger names, since half of it is untrue and the other half is boring as hell.

As an aside - I did a plethora of different drugs in my youth (not meth, but still...). In my opinion, it isn't at all relevant to harp on Harper over an old record of meth possession. If anything, if she isn't doing it today and once did in the past, I'd give her kudos for beating that nasty VERY addictive drug. I disagree with her all of the time and she can be pretty cruel towards people but that doesn't mean I need to stoop to her level and attack her past or launch other petty personal insults in order to address how wrong she is.

Ok, so she got busted for meth. That's shitty, and shame on her.

But is she still using? That's what matters. If she's not, then she's an ex-meth head, not a (current) meth-head. There's a difference, and it actually kinda matters.

Then don't, but don't call her out as an active meth user if there's no evidence/proof to suggest that she's actively using meth. It's pointless. There are plenty of other things to call her out on if you feel the need to call her out on something.

I never got that mind set. How does someone become a better person for kicking that drug say over someone who's had the foresight to never touch the stuff?

You become a better person compared to who you were when you were on the drug. Kicking an addiction is a big thing, especially when it's to a highly addictive substance, and anyone who does so should be commended for overcoming it.

I wouldn't say they're better than someone who has never touched it, but I wouldn't say they're inherently worse, either.

I guess that's fair to say, it's just a lil weird how society treats it. I guess it goes along with the 'no medal for being a decent human being' stuff.
