And where is your open source alternative?

Animebytes has been dabbling in chihaya for a while

From a quick look that looks pretty damn good actually (I still need some real world exprience with Go). Seperation of concerns, good structure, pluggable DB driver. Thanks for linking it, I might contribute when I get some real world Go experience.

Thanks! I am sure the project could use some fresh blood.

That does look great.

The open source tracker ecosystem is pretty terrible, gazelle included.

Just because something is the best option doesn't make it good.

And my point was, with claims like in the post, you would expect the tracker to be adaptable to any tracker site and dbms.

Edit: Refer to my old reply to you about the quality of the gazelle codebase:

It's kinda funny that we have had almost the exact same conversation twice now, once with gazelle, once with ozelot. Are you the creator of the two projects? Maybe I'll get a reply this time :)

This whole subreddit is in love with Gazelle (and Ocelot). I wouldn't expect a proper discussion about it.

I'm starting to pick up on that yeah.

It is, objectively, by far the best option for private trackers.

Luckily that wasn't the point I was making.

A while ago I was trying to implement the protocol in Ruby/Sinatra + Mongo + Redis. Everyone is welcome to fork and make an alternative.
