I am convinced that his fanbase is purely 7-14 year olds, because I have never seen somebody older that enjoyed his stuff.

Gotta say this actually a factor, comedian Stewart Lee touched on it in a routine I saw.

He said his fans are the internet savvy geeks who know how download his stuff on the internet and Michael McIntyre's fan's have to buy the DVD as they don't know how to get it for free.

The kids who watch his channel probably don't even click to skip the ads either.

Not at all, you get your money from clicks, and from attempts to show an ad. Whether it's blocked or not doesn't matter, the money comes in.

What I'm betting he does do though, it holds his videos off towards the evening, because how quickly you get your views factors in to the money you make.

His fan base is every little kid. It is what it is. I'm old as fuck and it doesn't bother me. I wish I did what he did. All my friends kids watch that stuff. I generally have no clue what they're talking about but then I saw that South Park episode. Now I see what they are doing, watching guys play games that in general they aren't allowed to play. The fact that the guy makes 'funny' noises only helps his cause.

That's not at all what's happening. He's getting his viewers to contribute, that's his main goal. There's a big difference in learning millions of people around the world to donate and just donating your own money.

I get up at 5 am to get to work, till 6pm. After that, I then go to University till 11pm. I dont want to get home to watch the news or something like that. I want to watch something silly, dumb and funny (at least for me). His content happends to be the stupid, dumb and loud humor I enjoy from time to time. I will not stop doing what I enjoy at the moment, just because the whole internet says that since I'm not a kid I should not be enjoing his content.

There is no reason this guy doesn't "deserve" a beautiful girl friend.

That being said, after watching a video with both of them playing games, it's clear that he doesn't necessarily need to be annoying. The annoying part in that video was actually his gf...a squealing, squeaky something...attributes I would attest to someone below 18 in any case. Also, she probably looks average without makeup, so don't cry :) She's most likely a more annoying version of many guys' gfs.

Because that age group totally never plays any M (for US) or PEGI 18 rated games. You can glance through his facebook page and see the facebook profiles of people that like/comment his stuff. A vast majority of them are very young, that should at least give a bit of credence to the claim.

Why would marketing care? They just want to sell the game, not their fault the game got a pegi 18 rating. What better way to sell a game than to appeal to impressionable kids? Did you know that cigarette companies used to advertise heavily on TV and market towards kids too? Doesn't matter that they aren't supposed to as long as they get sales. Is it bad? Yea, it is.

In this case, it is up to the parents in the end anyway so I just say whatever.
