As someone in social media: A lot of it is automated. Twitter is almost entirely automated at this point. Posts are scheduled like 2 weeks out and left to go. Retweets are automated too, there are settings, but if your media guy doesn't set the options, it just retweets everything it gets.

Tl;DR: People are lazy man.
