I did my BS thesis/MS in evo and he said something far down a comment tree that was slightly incorrect. I kindly corrected him and he got angsty and tried to defend him incorrect statement and was upvoted fast within a couple minutes. Wasn't completely shocked when the news came out.

I'm sure he's a nice guy, but I'd rather have a Reddit without famous users. And with people who can accept being wrong.

This happened to me as well. He was a pretentious egomaniac who couldn't stand being wrong and got off on trying to look like the smartest guy in the room and all the 15 year olds ate it up. This site is full of incredibly intelligent people from all walks of life more than willing to give information and knowledge but people just ignore it because it doesn't have a celebrity username attached to it. It's infuriating.

Eh, there was a slight chance that the guy may have just used the Chrome extension to delete all of his previous comments, therefore deleting any evidence he had in his favor, as I know I occasionally do that in case any of my friends were to find my account. But, the way he responded, it's clear that this was never the case. Sad, he could have had a good excuse to back himself up had he not gotten angry about people questioning him.
