Bitcoiners have become experts at manipulating graphs to push an agenda.

If the price stays where it's at for all of 2015 you can do three year periods! 2009-2012 is probably around $5-$10 and 2013-2016 would be around $200, a MASSIVE gain.

/r/Buttcoin: since $4, and "This Time Is Different".

Considering this is the longest bear trend in bitcoin history by far, and there's a steady supply of failing bitcoin businesses, only an ostrich with their head in the sand would think everything is peaches and cream. This time it very well may be different, but admitting that means admitting you might be in for a hell of a hit to your wallet.

Fact is after 6 years of speculating how great bitcoin is, no great developments have come to light. As that speculation fades, so too does the price. Since the entire bitcoin economy can be supported by a tiny sliver a fraction of what the price is today, the price will continue to slide until something changes or we hit that price.

But... But... Future money...

Watch out guys, he has discovered the agenda. That took a while.

That's a big and unlikely if. (See I can make baseless assumptions too)

It wasn't a prediction, it was an explanation on how ridiculous this graph is.

How is it any more ridiculous than people who look at the last 3 months and declare bitcoin is over?

[–]110101002 2 ポイント3 ポイント  (4子コメント)

I don't see why it needs to be more or less ridiculous than some other claim for it to be ridiculous.

Because people inherently put more belief and value in short term charts, and stepping back and looking at the bigger picture isn't smarter?

Let's look at investment returns over the last 10 years instead of 80.

Stepping back and looking at the bigger picture would involve looking at what the price has done over the last 6.1 years, not manipulating a graph until it is always positive.

If the time interval is years. Counting 0.1 years doesn't make sense.

Why does it have to have year intervals. We are talking about "looking at the bigger picture" aren't we? Does the bigger picture not include the part of the graph you don't want to see?
