White Drag queens ladies and gentlemen.

Willam Belli, contestant of season 4 rupauls drag race thought it would be cute to do this boy is a bottom in Spanish. Ok cute no problem.

However, when expressing “LATIN” cultures he placed Spaniard, Mexican, Chola, and Brazilian roots which would be nice to express if done:
1) non satirically
2) non racist
3) and NOT by a white dude trying to sell out culture

He decided to “read me” and fails terribly (lmao).

His excuse is that no one decided to help the Spanish speaking fans with material. So he took it upon himself. I was annoyed enough to comment and I quote
“White people stealing from more interesting cultures because theirs is as bland as mayonnaise on saltines”

Oops? Too shady?

It’s kind of sad when people have to bring others down (especially drag queens whose entire jobs are to be funny and satirical). And you aren’t making a comment about white culture. This isn’t white culture; it’s lgbtq culture, it’s drag culture. It’s inclusive. Get on board or get over it; don’t spread malice. 

Get on board with what? Me ignoring. Blatant racist generalizations of Latin culture? Drag is not purely about satire, it in part is, but mostly a commentary on GENDER, not race. Most queens preform under a ideal of what women could be, not even anything realistic . they perform expressing themselves as women, and if they are good, are known for it well.

White queers will never understand the struggle to be Latino and queer. It’s another level due to the masculine dialogue social ideals enforce, and we don’t need another privileged white man telling us who we are.

Whoever wrote that shit about me with their little 1-2-3 list can fuck themselves. I’m obviously not here for you if you don’t get that I’m a comedian and not a fucking cultural anthropologist. I wore plaid. I didn’t flash gang signs, fly colors in my headband or have a 40. I drank Tecate, which I like. I dressed as Carmen Miranda in a Bob Mackie headpiece because I’m a drag queen and Bob Mackie is fuckin BOB MACKIE. I paid tribute to my favorite Tejano songstress. I wrapped myself in the arms of a hot Brazilian dude. I did me. I’m glad your Latino/Queer struggle is something I won’t be ever able to grasp. It seems to have made you very uncomfortable on your high ass soapbox.
