A new moderator of the subreddit recently decided to write an essay about how Nintendo isn't a part of the 'master race'. The entire post in a nutshell is 'keep console discussions to their own subreddit, nintendo isn't PCMR's little brother, etc.'. Anyways, I read this post yesterday, and came back today to see quite a few [deleted] comments. Used un-eddit to read them.

Further down you will see OP's (a moderator) response to said comment, which then had a comment basically pointing out that there was no reason for this to be posted. Said response to OP's comment is now removed.

Odd thing is, there were a couple comments similar to the ones deleted that were kept up.

"No offense, but you guys are taking this stuff waaaayyyyy too seriously." - Two people gave him gold for this, but seeing how n_body's deleted comment got gold I don't think this is the reason.

A comment arguing OP's points, which OP later responded to. Un-eddit only shows so much, so if there's any other tool I could use that would be helpful.

Conclusion: Some, not all, people defending Nintendo are getting banned on PCMR for what appears to be no reason. From what I've seen in the comments, no rules were being broken. It's even more strange seeing some comments deleted, yet others exactly the same remain.

This also led to the creator of the subreddit making a post regarding this, but I think that might've been posted before the deletions.

Just noticed a comment deleted in that sticky:

"I've got nearly every old console. No problem with it. I love Nintendo and my newest console is a Wii U. I only got a few games, because it's too expensive to buy them early, but I got e.g. Mario Kart and I love it. I've got no problems with PS4 and Xbone and I would love to have them, but I won't buy them now, cause it's too expensive currently. I've got a Xbox, but only because it was only 5€ and currently I am looking for a 360, maybe with ROD, which could be fixed. And my PS3 is great, too, but the last game I played was Last of Us, now I am only using it for Streaming-Services and Blurays. I really hate my Computer, cause I am using it too much, all games are so cheap and are looking great. If I hadn't one, I bet I would play all day on my PS3 and would buy really expensive games. Now I can just wait till these games are really cheap, cause I have enough games to play, while I wait."
