I met some Egyptian Coptics who bought an old treadmill that I had posted on Craig’s List. They had only just recently immigrated to the US, and had a lot of interesting stories of life in Egypt, and what it’s like to live in a Muslim country. We stood around talking in my garage for probably 30 minutes to an hour even after they had already bought the treadmill. I only wish I could have talked to them longer, as it was fascinating. What they said echoed a lot in what this article below discusses. They said Islamic extremism has gotten so bad they had to leave. These recent events in Paris really put this sort of thing in perspective, and I think the problems are only going to continue to grow.
