You know Intel, I truly never wanted you to inject politics into anything. From the beginning, I didn’t want you to take a pro-Gamergate stance or an anti-Gamergate stance. It seems counter-productive in my mind. You can have your employees and individuals believe whatever they want. That is their right as human beings to be allowed to not just be a face for their company.

But as a company, when you take a stance on something with ANY sort of dissent or disagreement you are going to make enemies. You are going to paint yourself a certain way so that people will no longer want to associate themselves with you. And if people don’t want to associate themselves with you, why is gods name would they ever even consider giving you their hard-earned money?

Intel, as a company you should take a neutral stance and let your individuals speak for themselves. Not only does that avoid giving yourself a bad image to the opponents of your statements but it prevents Intel from looking like a hive mind and allows each employee to express their own opinion about the matter.

Intel, I don’t want you to be pro-Gamergate or anti-Gamergate.

I don’t want you to be pro-gun control or anti-gun control.

I don’t want you to be pro-abortion or anti-abortion.

I just want you to sell me good products for good prices. That’s all.

Unfortunately, you are not doing that at all. You are making a stand with Feminist Frequency, a hate group that likes to call men “toxic” and goes so far as calling capitalism a breeding ground for racism, sexism, and transphobia.

I am a young male that likes to build computers in my spare time. I guess you call me an enthusiast in the matter but that’s besides the point. When I look at this as a young man who likes to spend money on good products, I see a company that is calling me toxic and thinks because I enjoy capitalism that I can be seen as sexist, racist, or transphobic for my beliefs.
