How tall do you need to be to be part of this subreddit? We welcome people of all shapes and sizes to discuss all things tall-related.

I think you aren't getting that regardless of their age and gender, her comment was "When guys height starts with X (regardless of the number)" it should be as equally offensive as the comeback "When girls weight starts with X". It's the same exact comment with a different preference. But both are said in the negative way so they both suck.

Saying the positive side of your preference isn't hurting anyone, anyone can say "I like this and that" and nobody gets hurt. Her comment wasn't just words, it was a face that meant "I highly dislike" and it should be included when talking about the txt.

All in all, it's two people with kid mentality talking to each other. I would have said "Hey, you realize people who are 5 feet and even 4 feet wouldn't like being judged by their height, the same way we tell people not to judge others by their weight or skin color." And then NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT AGAIN. I'm done.
