Yeah I see people saying "protection exist", "there's so much they could do to defend their servers", yet no one can actually say what safe guards exist.. I get people are angry with the ddos's, it pisses me off too, but if you don't actually understand what's going on you're better off just complaining about dc'd than spreading misinformation.

Jagex are a multi-million dollar company, business, organisation. Their network staff coupled with their ISP and possible third-party server hosts all hire expirenced and tiered network support and administration staff. They would be highly educated and know what they're doing. To get these kind of jobs you need certificates that need to be renewed with an expensive exam every 2 (generally) years.

Jagex does have a repuation for fucking up their game and being incompetent developers, but when it comes to networks, that's not on them.
