I'm so tired of the whole PC master race mentality. You people act like your promoting some noble cause, while all you really do is act like elitist docuhebags all over reddit. Don't tell me "It's just a joke" either, because it clearly not to a lot of the subscribers. I see this shit everywhere on reddit, and quite frankly it makes me embarrassed to be not just a PC gamer, but a gamer in general. You can't mention anything to do with consoles anywhere on reddit nowadays without a million annoying comments about how much better PC is. These comments even pop up on console gaming subreddits. Do you people just not realize how toxic your mindset is? The fact that PCMasterRace is one of the biggest gaming subreddits on this website makes me think that the gaming community still has a long way to go in terms of maturity.

The few never represent the many. The gaming community has always had a long way to go in terms of maturity. It is a hobby that is not taken seriously outside of some set groups and it is still an activity for "children only." As such, you will get that common childish vibe from the whole scene whether it be PC or console. We should not solely point fingers at one group or another. It is in our best interest to weed out the otherwise perfect garden together.

The past year has demonstrated that the gaming community absolutely has a long way to go in terms of maturity. Between the attacks on Gone Home (which came out a bit over a year ago) and Depression Quest, it's clear that a lot of gamers are upset that games are evolving beyond little boys.

Consoles are the toxin here as are the people who continue to fund the fracturing of the gaming sphere. Imagine if you could only run Spider-Man DVDs on Sony DVD players! That is what exclusivity is-- a means to monopolize competitive markets and erect price barriers where there are none. The gaming community has a long way to go in terms of maturity, yes. People are still paying for consoles.
