If we're being really technical, I think Officer Liang was assigned to PSA 2, which is the housing district that would cover the Pink Houses. But all of that is in the confines of the 75.

Protestors stopped by the 75th Precinct on their way to PSA 2, where the cop who killed Akai works. Here are protestors at their final point of the march.

At the behest of their GOP owners, the corporate media is egging on the NYPD's silent coup d'etat because they cannot abide the idea of a popular progressive Democratic Mayor of NYC and are trying to sabotage him.

New Yorkers voted de Blassio into office because he promised to stop police going overboard on poor minorities. The police leadership are sending a big fuck you to democracy by their insubordinate behavior. Clearly it is meant as a threat to all of us that they will not protect us if we do not vote for Republican Mayors.

Now is the time for New Yorkers to stand up for the Mayor we elected into office.

Coming from a democrat, de Blasio is an unmitigated disaster. Primarily he has failed at the first thing a first term mayor must do: convince people who work for him that he will be a two term mayor. No one believes that he will, and so everyone thinks they are going to have a new boss in 4 years so why bother enacting any of the things he's asking for. This includes the police.

It's easy to blame this on the right wing media, who are, for sure, total asswipes. But it's de Blasio's job to convince not just the public, but also the people who report to him, that he is a worthy leader, and he has completely failed at that.

It's not enough that de Blasio has respectable views on issues. He is failing at being an effective leader.

New Yorkers voted de Blassio into office because he promised to stop police going overboard on poor minorities.

Americans voted Obama into office because he promised to shut down Gitmo. Once he got to office it turned out he really needed all the people he shat on during his campaign to cooperate with him and so he was unable to do many of the things he promised in his campaign. See a pattern here?

GOP owners? Seriously? Last time I checked, majority of the news outlets lean liberal while conservatives mostly just have Fox and a few idiot speakers. The media isn't egging on the NYPD. If anything, I'll agree with the mayor when he mentioned the media has a hand in stirring all this up by reporting certain facts and twisting stories to suit their viewers/readers.

Majority of the voters voted in a man who divided a city. The politicians sent a big fuck you to all residents by not addressing the underlying community and social issues which led to the current state of affairs. Of course it's easier to blame the police instead of seeking understanding on both sides and figuring out why things devolved to this point.
