I am scared of law enforcement in this country.

No you're not. You have no concept of what it is to be scared of law enforcement.

Even as a white kid growing up in nice suburbs, I saw the abuses of power from a local rogue police department. I had friends get tickets for not using their turn signals into their driveways or for unexpired license plate tags.

So your friends broke the law and got ticketed. Boo freaking how.

In every instance, the LEOs were rude and once roughed up a friend, carefully outside the view of the dashcam.

And you and your friends weren't any part of this, right? You always followed directions exactly and did what you were told, right? Never got lippy or stupid?

And hint, that microphone that goes with the dash camera, it has a range of a couple hundred yards. So you're telling me that the officer dragged you or your friend several hundred yards to rough him up so there was no record?

Again, bullshit.

The rogue department has been repeatedly denounced by the courts for racism and unconstitutional searches. Yet, they still continue the same bad behavior.

[citation needed]

I think this is in part fueled by the blue wall phenomena where LEOs maintain an us-against-them mentality.

Gee, I really wonder how that comes about. It might have something to do with the fact that everyone lies to us (like you are here), and as a result we believe no one and question the motives of everyone.

No matter what the critique, the officers always side with their own. I see this every day on this subreddit.

I'm not an angsty 16 year old showing off online. I'm willing to wait for things like investigations completing and evidence. I'm not a fan of mob justice.

Not all, but many are ignoring the protests nationwide and immediately blaming the protestors.

That's because we're on the front lines and see how hypocritical and full of shit the protesters are.

If thousands of people are protesting your actions, some introspection is warranted.

To quote an instructor I had in the past, the plural of idiot is still idiots. In today's age, you can find a thousand people who will agree with anything. Hell, NAMBLA exists.

I'm not asking for an analysis of each incident that sparked protests. I'm asking for a change in law enforcement mentality. I think this us-against-them mentality is preventing law enforcement from doing their jobs effectively and the community from trusting their LEOs.

That trust was lost long ago. It's not going to be rebuilt overnight. And every time one of the asshats on your side does something like Doxx an officer or his family, or guns a officer down in cold blood, don't be surprised when my boys and girls and I close ranks and treat you like the animals you allow to be the representatives of your movement.

And now I have NAMBLA on my search history, so thanks for that

You prove the OPs point perfectly.

Don't you think that by being as antagonistic as you are ["No you're not. You have no concept of what it is to be scared of law enforcement." + "don't be surprised when my boys and girls and I close ranks and treat you like the animals you allow to be the representatives of your movement"...] and by literally drawing an us-vs-them dichotomy ["everyone lies to us (like you are here), and as a result we believe no one and question the motives of everyone"] that you are further proving OPs point?

Attitudes like yours are what's wrong.

He is being a source of additional anecdotal evidence supporting OPs claims.

I would say there also needs to be a distinct difference between lies and perception. An officers account from the incident is viewed as "fact" when in fact it might just be two peoples perceptions of an incident. It seems that officers always seem to think they are being lied to because their perception of the event is different I would say this is doubly true for traffic violations.

It's not "your side" vs "my side", we all live in the same country. You really sound like a dick with this response. Not saying you are, just that this reads like "I am an asshole!"
