Do you mean that you teach some discipline and that "logical and scientific reasoning" is an important part of that? Because I'm not familiar with the standalone discipline "logical and scientific reasoning." (I took four courses that concentrated on or touched on symbolic logic as an undergrad, so I'm not exactly claiming expertise either.)

I teach a number of logic courses at different levels and I teach a course on scientific reasoning. So, no, "logic and scientific reasoning" is not the name of a single course.

Okay, so, honest question, why are people singling you out as being biased? Granted that you've acknowledged you think Adnan did it; I'd think an expert in logic and reasoning could at least hide that better.

Who's singling me out as being biased? I'm not biased. In fact when I started I wanted Adnan to be innocent. I just think that the evidence against him is too strong for me to believe that. Am I biased because I have evaluated the evidence available to me and reached the conclusion that I think is best supported by that evidence?

It's possible there are university professors who are unfamiliar with the word "too." I bet not any of the really good ones, though. EDIT: Well, none of the really good ones who speak English natively.

You'd be surprised to find out that, in academic circles, reddit does not enjoy a stellar reputation... And, in my experience, it's really lived up to its reputation. This exchange is an example of what kind of place this is.
