Is there a way to get rid of anxiety like this, or at least reduce it?

Keep doing it, eventually it'll feel like business as usual.

I was thinking to myself it would be difficult to constantly ensure the people behind you were talking at the movie theatre. And then I realized you'd just have to go to Tyler Perry movies.

Subtle racism disguised as humor. Clever reddit.

E - If the downvote brigade has anything to say, I'm all ears. Correct me.

It's racial humor, it's not disguised as humor. Loads of comedians make their living off racial humor, it's not really that big a deal at this point.

Like Tyler Perry.

Why do you think that black people are like handicapped people that should not be joked about? If we cannot make it ok to be any color you are and make quick jokes about it we will never get to equality between ethnicities.

Why do you think handicapped people shouldn't be joked about?

Because it is retarded budum tss.

There is a Thai restaurant called sawasdee down the street from me.

When did I say that?

You're being 'that guy'.

In real life he'd be normal, and Redditors would be that guy.

[–]PM_ME_UR_BUTT_GIRLS 2 ポイント3 ポイント  (2子コメント)

IRL almost all comedians make jokes about various stereotypes. Including all the big ones Dave Chapelle, Russel Petere, Chris Rock etc.

Since, comments on reddit aren't real life conversations and most redditors try to be humorous in their comments, therefore he's being 'that guy'.

Redditors are far from comedians, they're more like robots that parse highly-upvoted comments and repeat them. And in general comedians aren't tripping over themselves to make racist jokes.

[–]PM_ME_UR_BUTT_GIRLS -1 ポイント0 ポイント  (0子コメント)

Redditors try to be comedians. Making fun of a stereotype isn't racist. Unless you're calling Dave Chappelle a racist, in which case you're a racist. And I'll be dammed if I have to justify myself to a racist.

Subtle racism IS humor.

No, I'm not.

Only problem. It's true.

What's true?

That talking regularly occurs at tyler perry movies.

And who regularly goes to Tyler Perry movies, again...?

I don't know the precise percentages, but the audience tends to be majority black.

The majority of school shootings in the US are by white kids. Asian Americans have higher average SAT scores. Why do you want to call me racist for stating these things?

Why are you putting words in my mouth? Stating "black people go to Tyler Perry movies" is not racist, nor did I claim that.

Stating "THOSE PEOPLE THAT GO TO TYLER PERRY MOVIES (like how I didn't mention who THOSE PEOPLE are? THAT MEANS I COULD BE TALKING ABOUT ANYONE LOL!) don't know how to not talk during movies!" could be construed as racism, absolutely.
