It is obviously in your best interests to have it portrayed favouring a certain pov and even if you try to be neutral, subconsciously you will still be pushing that pov. Yeah but that isn't misogyny or harassment. Gamers see these people trying to make careers for themselves out of the gaming industry based on lies at the expense of gamers, obviously gamers are going to be upset and want to criticism these people. Now i admit that giving them attention is exactly what they want but criticism is a good thing regardless.

You pay no attention to actual ethics violations in your own circlejerk. You don't realize that heavily funding Tech Raptor who then decide to continue to spit out pro-GG pieces is the exact kind of unethical actions you think being a friend with someone is. You ignore the fact that TFYC's winning entry was written by someone in TFYC's group. You complain that Hatred got pulled down. You complain about censorship when you assholes don't understand the "Freedom of Speech" part of the US constitution prevents the government from censoring you and not private companies or persons.

You would have to be naive to think that this movement is just about ethics. Ethics alone would not get so many people so passionate unfortunately. in my opinion, the whole reason for gamergate is that game and tech writers are at odds, ideologically, with the majority of the actual creators and consumers in the gaming and tech industries. And gamers, specifically, are sick and tired of being thrown under the bus by these people at the drop of a hat. The world doesn't need game and tech writers and the power they wield is at odds with what they contribute. They use this sjw philosophy as a tool for their own ends, not because they care about women or minorities or whatever. The sjw philosophy creates an environment where you can't be criticized. That is why people push it. If people can't criticise you, you can do whatever the hell you want. Gamers are sick of this and want these people out of their (the actual gamers) industry.

What can these people do? Obviously people are going to use this movement to further their own ends. It is clearly not endorsed by the majority of the movement though and therefore the movement should not be painted as some kind of hate movement. It's a hashtag and a board that no one fucking takes seriously until someone does something that paints you in a bad light and gives more publicity to the very people you're opposed against.

I think people are taking it seriously especially the tech writers that know that they have been found out.
