american pegasus?
weren't you the guy who kept posting about all your good idea trades, and lost everything in the stock market a year or so ago making bad bets? and panicking on your good ones?
and then you gambled your wife's money in the stock market without her knowledge?
and you got divorced and lost your house?
im glad you're back here giving us financial analysis

I never thought I'd read something this funny on /r/investing. I have you tagged as "goofy investor" so I can find you again XD

Just go look at the top posts on /r/wallstreetbets he's the king over there.

Holy fuck those people are addicts...

The difference is they know they are gambling, plenty of folks here are as well but are delusional about it

I mostly agree with you. The market at all is a gamble but most of the people here seem to make generally informed decisions. There are certainly gamblers but I'd say the majority of them still base their investments decisions on some sort of quantitative analysis - as inconsistent as that may be at least it's something. Even the people buying TSLA on margin aren't exposing themselves to nearly the kind of risk that a penny stock has. After a casual look at WSB, there are people there often seem to be taking on risk for the sake of risk for no reason other than they find the volatility a wild ride. OP gets zero respect here for a reason...

You got downvoted but this is honestly the best retiredgif I've ever seen.

Can you explain the point of this sub to me?

Apparently I don't actually know, since I submitted this post and it was removed for violating their rules.

How I understand it is that a proper submission is an example of a gif used with such incredible relevance that it may as well never be used again, that it's peaked and its glory days are over, and therefore may be retired. I assume that since the above exchange didn't involve pirates or an actual Jack Sparrow, it didn't meet their standards.

They have so many rules, only a bureaucrat would like it.

I'm pretty sure people just post a gif there when it's used in response to a comment and it fits the situation perfectly.

when a gif is used so well that it most likely will never be more relevant than that situation, the whole comment thread is posted to r/retiredgifs. this jack sparrow one was good but not retiredgif material

1-800-522-4700

It's unsettling that I know what this number is for without looking it up.. But I swear it's because I hear it on the radio and the last four digits of my first house number was 4700. So I'm going to go with that.

I've just made my first Reddit friend.

This is by far the best use of this meme to date.

You forget the last couple chapters. He came back after the divorce and losing the house with a $20,000 loan dead set on losing it all as fast as he could on ridiculous option bets. And he succeeded.

Don't forget dogecoin.

Is there a reddit thread with the summary?

No, but AP could/should have his own thread in /r/museumofreddit.

It's been nothing if not entertaining watching him over the last year or so. I gotta respect the player, even if I don't respect the game.

For real though (ie. is there any proof) or is he just an attention troll?

You're looking at it all wrong. I see an strategy here where we simply rebalance our portfolios to be the opposite of whatever pegasus says.

Well he was right about Michael kors, but he left that position too early, iirc

So when he sees a return but panics, we hold. :D

If we could just stop paying attention to stupid people, that would be great.

Good luck finding the other ones.

You people are too stupid to see what is right under your nose. If this guy says buy, you sell. If he says sell, you buy. Just do the opposite of everything he says!

/r/investing in a nut shell.

He's got some too notch posts in the red pill too, apparently.

Seriously I'm giddy like a schoolgirl right now. Shit's been kinda boring lately even with a bear market--glad to get some drama up in this bitch.

We need a nickname for Americanpegasus. I nominate "Oracle of a Back Alley"
