The question I have is, was he being detained?
Suspended license and several warrants, according to the description in the video.
So instead of just finding him at home, they had to setup something that cost us thousands in taxpayer money, endangered him and a shitload of other people on the road, and caused shit all over the road that we have to pay more tax money to other people to clean up?
What the fuck is up with our police department?
On the off chance you are not a troll:
If they let him go and he, being a drunk driver, hit a car with an innocent family and killed them, would you not fault the police for not stopping him?
Most people with warrants don't just "go home" to their address on file where cops can easily find and arrest them... for obvious reasons.
Edit: Also, if you actually watched the video, you would see the stop sticks are designed to deflate the tires slowly so the car doesn't decelerate too quickly. In other words, it's designed with maximum possible safety in mind. Still funny that you fault the police, and not the drunk driver who is a wanted criminal, with being unsafe.
Ehh there's no video description to read on my phone, without doing the extra work. From the video, it looks like they're just waiting to catch someone speeding and then destroy their tires and THEN find out what else is going on. Didn't bother watching the entire 6 minutes when the title of this topic happens in the first minute.

The fact about this video is you are wrong, this is an example of actually well performed police work. And we should applaud the officers that handled it so well.
