Anarchocapitalists are people who believe in removing half of the power structures which dictate how people live their lives as a solution to all the problems caused by power structures that dictate how people live their lives.

Anarchocapitalism is the bastard-child of hardcore economic liberalism and the co-opting of left-wing terms. Same goes for (right-)libertarianism. Both words have an established meaning that refers to something completely different, yet were co-opted because the name sounded cool. At least Ayn Rand had the integrity(!) to not claim the term existentialism for her half-baked philosophy, which really says something about the people who use the terms "anarchist" or "libertarian" to refer to the far-right.

Anarcho-capitalists are closer to any actual anarchy than you losers will ever be.

There are centuries of anarchist political theory which are all opposed to capitalism except for this tiny outlying blip that started in the US a couple of decades ago which somehow got called anarchist and libertarian.

But that's cool. Anybody who has half a clue knows that the map is not the territory, otherwise they'd have to agree that the Nazi Party was socialist and that North Korea is a democratic republic. You don't really believe that North Korea is a democratic republic now, do you?

Jesus Christ, you really are clueless. Anarchist theorists have addressed this issue a thousand times over, so if you're missing the point then don't try to blame other people.

(Sidebar: I could just as easily say "Hurr-Durr. Anarcho-capitalists are all for laws and order, they just want the uber-rich dictating it." except that it's true and a fair assessment of exactly why anarcho-capitalism doesn't have anything to do with anarchism. Also having the uber-rich dictating the laws sounds exactly like what we have today, putting aside minutiae like elections.)

Here's something that will be the closest you'll get to understanding the most basic principle of anarchist political philosophy: anarchism means 'no rulers', not 'no rules'.
