That isn't right. That would equal 3. You always go from left to right unless the formula includes parentheses.

edit: I'll leave this up because everyone enjoyed someone making an ass out of themselves. The math is ofc correct, my drunk dyslexic ass managed to take the last division as a multiplication.

What? It's perfectly fine going left to right:

1/2 = 0.5

0.5*1 = 0.5

0.5/6 = 0.0833

Even if you did just go straight across, as you've suggested, you'd still get 0.83333... to get 3, you'd need to do (1/2) / (1/6). If you did 1/2/1/6 (replacing the mult with div), straight left to right, you'd still get 0.83333.
