His perspective came from an outside view. Being a dwarf is its own mirror to the world. Others often had trouble dealing with an outside observer telling it like he saw it. His observations were often truer to real life than many of us saw it from inside our particular boxes.

I found it hilarious when some people actually told him his perspective didn't belong here. The nerve to tell a guy who is under 4 fucking feet tall that he doesn't belong on a subreddit called /r/short.

Do you recall the name of the threads where people were saying that?

Nope. They were otherwise very insignificant threads if I recall.

Edit: found one example

I can attest Ive seen it at least once.

I remember seeing it, wish i could remember where though.

It was months, maybe even over a year ago. I do remember it well because I found it highly ironic that short people mad at the world for it discriminating against them for being too short were attacking a person shorter than them for being too short to know their plight. ಠ_ಠ

His account was only 3 months old so it couldn't have been too long ago. Are you perhaps remembering the example that reddit-throwaway45 pointed out down below? If so that's from an obvious troll.

He had multiple accounts which probably do go back to a year

Yes, he did. I'm still just trying (and failing apparently) to get someone to link this so-called post where short people (implying more than one) were attacking tesker (or one of his other accounts) as TheWhiteNashorn claims for being too short to know their plight.

Seems to me this is likely a case of remembering a troll post & automatically assuming it represented the sub. Sort of like how when a couple trollish people (or just assholes, every sub has some) make incredibly offensive remarks over here all of a sudden that gets used to label the entire sub as bitter and misogynistic. Confirmation bias I guess.

Yah. Definitely overestimated the time. But that was most likely the example. And yah didnt investigate enough to see he was a troll. Sadly sometimes its sometimes hard to tell on here trolling from legitimately voiced opinions.

Link to it? If I remember right the times I saw someone make a comment that implied someone with dwarfism didn't belong here, or they had it better, or whatever they got pretty well roasted by other posters here. I'd like to see the one you are talking about & see who the comment came from.

I have no clue where it is. It was months ago. Why does everyone treat the internet like a court room?

Edit: One case has been found. This whole "proof" bullshit is now moot. http://www.reddit.com/r/short/comments/2fznem/im_a_511_dude_do_i_belong_here_or_on_rtall/ I am still waiting on NASA to send me some moon dust to deeply inhale so I know the moon landing was real.

Asking a person to provide an example of what they are talking about isn't treating it like a court room, it's just asking you to back up what you are saying.

Let me give an example...

I saw TheWhiteNashorn comment on /r/tall about how people who are over 6'8" don't really belong because they are too tall. It got upvotes too! What an awful sub telling someone that is very tall they don't belong. Oh and no, I don't have a link to the comment...jeez...why do you need proof? I saw it with my own eyes. I'm not on trial here!

Snarkyness aside, I was just curious to see who made the comment. We have a few usual suspects over here who need a slap upside the head sometimes for the ridiculous crap that they say. I'm guessing the comment (unless it was in a dead thread) was downvoted and some people at least pointed out the obvious flaw with the comment.

Is stating that "some people told tesker he didn't belong here" really such an outlandish thing to recall that it demands evidence? It was just funny

Well, I'm here quite a bit. I haven't seen anything of the sort. Its almost a given it would have shown up on /r/subredditdrama if it happened, they love linking here. Not saying it never happened, but to pretend it is anything more than an anomaly is kind of funny itself. Its Reddit, people say stupid shit all the time. I've been told I don't belong here for being 5'7'', saying "x group doesn't belong here" is the exception not the rule.

Its just hard to trust you, because I can attest I have seen antisemitic and white nationalist (eh, white natiorn?) posts by you. Can't be bothered to find it now, it was months ago.

Oh jesus fucking christ. First, go get your eyes checked, then take your hands place them at eye level so theyre in karate chop position, and violently shove them towards your face with thumbs erect. My name is TheWhiteNashorn. Theres no nation in there.

Second, you havent seen antisemetic or any other type of bigoted post from me because I haven't ever made any.

Third I don't give a shit that you don't trust me. I'm not your internet secretary. Go find the goddamned post yourself. I was merely backing up someone who said they've seen them too.

And before you fucking ask, my name has nothing to do with any sort of racism. White is a goddamned color. Nashorn means rhino in German. Why German? Because I have german ancestry so I took German in college and because I took german I know some german words and I found Nashorn to be a cool word, meaning literally NoseHorn. Why the white nashorn? Because not only is it a cool severely endangered species that we need to protect but I have a small white glass rhino token I got when I was young at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY that I keep with me because it reminds me of the innocence of my childhood.

I didn't realize a casual internet conversation had to be peer reviewed with a notarized seal of authenticity for anyone to believe anything. This drivel, this literally nonsensical, bullshit, petty arguing is what makes r/short the laughing stock, the low-hanging fruit sub in SRD. If you don't want to believe me, or the other poster, then just don't or go peruse the annals of this sub for proof or disproof of Tesker being treated like shit as you please. But is it really that hard to believe. Some people in here are so fucking hate filled it is scary.

Give me a few days to dig up some old family pictures and get the building records for the museum so you know Im not just making it all up...

[–]BiteSizedBeastMode@HeightismReport 0

If we made a comment that was filled with this much burning rage, it would already be on SRD, and it would be open season on this sub for the next 48 hours.

You missed the point so hard, I fear for your sanity. The joke was that "white nation" and "white nashorn" sound similar (especially when speaking quickly). Usernames often use puns, that was the joke.

The overall point is anyone can say anything without backing it up (basically what /u/JohnGM said below), you could say you never made any antisemitic comments, and I could say no one said /u/tesker's perspective didn't belong here. I am on this board quite a lot, and I haven't that kind of thing.

Calm down bro, its just the internet. If browsing /r/short angers you this much, I think the solution is simple. Adults are expected to handle their emotions.

EDIT: I liked the part where you edited out how pissed you were over an internet conversation. You project hard.

Not the thing i remember either so it has happened on more than one occasion then......

[–]BiteSizedBeastMode@HeightismReport 0

Did you respond to the people who were saying that stuff?

Found an example of one time it happened. He was downvoted. Like I said it was never an attempt to paint this sub in a bad light, just the individuals who did it.

[–]BiteSizedBeastMode@HeightismReport [

Thanks for looking that up. Look at the user's name and post history who said that nonsense, and you'll see pretty strong evidence of what occurred there.

Yeah it was a troll. very observant. I never thought of it as anything more than that, just hilarious

I don't think I did. Probably just downvoted them. He was handling it fine by the looks of it. Why are you so curious?
