Yes it does. There's a reason it's became the norm. It's called self respect and it comes in handy dealing with depression and getting ahead in life. Nobody is stopping you from not shaving, but that doesn't mean you're not going to be judged for it

Didn't say that. If I'm going to have to spell it out for you then here you go. Women should shave their legs and armpits, men should keep their armpit hair trimmed or shaved if they want, men should trim their beards if they can grow one, men that can't grow beards should shave, both genders should keep their pubic hair trimmed(not saying shaved), both genders should dress appropriately for their age, both genders should brush their teeth, both genders should shower daily, etc... This is all a part of being a normal functioning adult. This all a part of taking some pride in your appearance which can do a shit ton for your self respect. If you want to get lazy and skip even the most basic grooming/hygienically steps then you are going to be judged for it. And rightfully so.
People can take plenty of pride in their appearance without having to shave. People can also be clean even if they are very much unshaven if they actually bother to wash themselves properly when they bathe.
I'm not even gonna touch the implications of you saying that women need to do things that men should only do if they want. That's a fantastically stupid thing to say in a subreddit full of women, I hope you know that. In fact, I'm sure you do. You just feel like being a douchecanoe.
