Eh, that evidence looks a bit too... convenient. Does anybody have a 2 hour long rambling youtube video by an anonymous poster claiming to be an expert in Richard Gage impersonation?

I have a poorly formatted wordpress blog with a wall of text. Does that help?

Nope, but I do have a 6 hour documentary explaining why Hitler wasn't such a bad guy if that helps?

That was hilarious.

I think the best part was when a mod removed it temporarily. So much anger.

/r/conspiracy used to have a bot that posted all removals from the subreddit and who did it. Used to because it mysteriously stopped working after it was used to show who removed that documentary.

The same subreddit has no problem being angry subreddit don't have public moderation logs.

Its almost as bad as using the wrong aircraft in a PC based video game to help support a claim.

My favorite comment. The user who caught this and is complaining about the /r/conspiracy mods is the head of a 9/11 truth group.

That group made a video in Microsoft flight simulator, claimed it disproved 9/11, used the wrong plane, and charged ~$18 for the video.

Oh shit, is this that guy? I loved reading about that the first time. It's quite the business model they've got going there. Sometimes I wish I didn't have this pesky nagging conscience, so I could make money off of random idiots too. I'd go big on homeopathy, astrology, conspiracies, whatever.

shit, as long as you put the word “parody” at the bottom of your site, you’ll be able to make money off the idiots while still keeping your conscience clean.

Meh, I don't know. Still feels wrong.

ugh normal human emotions are such a nuisance. what if you took all the money you made from the idiots and donated it to charities aimed at improving critical thinking in education so that future potential idiots get that stuff learned out of them?

You make it sound like it would be a lot of work. Where's the fun in making lots of money if you have to work for it?

the fun comes from getting to see /r/conspiracy upvote and agree with your website’s claim that the moon landing was orchestrated by 9/11 to kill JFK’s doppelgänger so Hitler could become the new Elvis once the previous one returned to his home planet.

Oooooooooooooooooo

That could be fun.

That group made a video in Microsoft flight simulator, claimed it disproved 9/11, used the wrong plane, and charged ~$18 for the video.

That is how you know someone is telling you the truth, when they charge you money in exchange for information.

It shows that they have only the justness of their claim in mind... that and profiting from mentally ill people.

It's a flight simulator not a crash simulator

I believe they rebranded the Microsoft Crash Simulator as "Windows Millennium Edition".

If it is the one I am thinking of, they used FSX (Microsoft Flight Simulation [10]). They used the default New York City terrain map - which is awful considering there is a very nice rendition of NYC done my Aerosoft for FSX. They didn't even spring for the $20 terrain upgrade.

And like you said, it's Flight Simulator, not Crash Simulator. Their claim was that it wasn't possible because the simulator said "CRASH" and dumped them to the menu when the plane exited it's normal flight envelope in the dive before they ever even got close to the WTC. On most FSX aircraft, the acceptable flight envelope (for the sim) is very conservative. CRASH on the plane they were using could mean it experienced g forces significant enough to spill drinks in first class - which pretty much means the pilot is fired, but probably doesn't mean the aircraft disintegrated.

I've landed Aeroncas and Piper Cubs on the roof of some of the skycrapers on a windy day in FSX. It's definitely not meant to be a true simulation of all the aspects of flying. Just like Call of Duty is not an accurate representation of real world combat - I'm sure that notion would break a lot of conspiratard hearts as well.

Look, you may be new here, but /r/conspiracy is where many top minds collaborate, and routinely outsmart the most well funded, well equipped and diabolical organizations on earth. How do we do it? Top thinkers, experts on every field, unparalleled investigative skills and fearlessness. I would trust a top comment here over pretty much any news source, especially a mainstream source, any day.

Here's the thing. You said a "/r/conspiracy is full of top minds"

Is it in the same family? Yes. No one's arguing that.

As someone who is a top mind who studies stuff, I am telling you, specifically, in science, no one calls conspiratards top minds. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you shouldn't either. They're not the same thing.

If you're saying "meme family" you're referring to the taxonomic grouping of Maymaydae, which includes things from rage comics to image macros to verticals.

So your reasoning for calling a /r/conspiracy poster a top mind is because random people "call themselves top minds?" Let's get investigative and fearless in there, then, too.

Also, calling someone a top mind or an idiot? It's not one or the other, that's not how mindology works. They're both. A conspiratard is a joke and a member of the criminally insane family. But that's not what you said. You said a /r/conspiracy poster is a top mind, which is not true unless you're okay with calling all members of the reddit family top minds, which means you'd call /r/theredpill, /r/adviceanimals, and other subs top minds, too. Which you said you don't.

It's okay to just admit you're wrong, you know?

They are all a bit slow on the uptake, aren't they. In the first thread the OP posts (paraphrasing)

I emailed tht person and he said he didn't post the AMA

followed by being asked -

hold on, are you suggesting it wasn't him?

It's not really ambiguous is it?? 'He says it's not him' - 'Are you hinting that it's not him'

They were confused because it wasn't in the form of a YouTube video.

What is this steaming pile of bullshit?

Reddit's top detectives would have figured it out by now--I now this AMA has to be real because if it wasn't there'd be half a dozen Youtube videos explaining how the fake AMA was made and who was responsible for it. I don't know if you've realized this, but I have it on good authority that they literally are the world's top minds. If there was any trickery they would have known within minutes!

These are just false flags. /r/Conspiracy finds the truth, and if there had been anything to find they would have already found it and blamed it on a racial minority.

Note that that is NOT GayUnicorn6969 but an imposter.

GU692 is a minor celebrity over in /r/conspiratard. Dude's insanity is nothing short of legendary.

I remember when his first shadowban hit. I woke up in a hotel in New Orleans and saw the magic happening. Hell, I still think I was the one to set him to how he got banned.

Edit: Found the thread which followed his meltdowns, which I still am happy for starting.

CouchRadish, you are my hero.

He's long gone. Kept getting shadowbanned, thought "I'd punch a sandy hook truther if i met him" was an implicit threat of violence, spat the dummy when the admins wouldn't shadowban every body who he claimed was a government agent or was "threatening" him or just made it onto a list he created that he would update whenever he banned people.

He complained constantly he wanted a mod position in /r/911truth.

When he finally got it one of his first acts was to ban tons of people and issue new rules saying that no debunking or the official story is allowed. Basically banned truth from /r/911truth.

Soon after he did something to get shadowbanned. From his temper I would imagine it was threats.

Best part was when he came back on an alt right after that, immediately posted a hey-guys-its-me thread to /r/911truth... and another mod gave him a hearty welcome with a "Removed, rule 1: Stay on topic"

I don't know about the shadowban. Most users that are shadowbanned come right back.

What I heard is that he got doxxed hard and asked the admins to delete his account. It would explain why /r/conspiratard mods delete any thread talking about him now, along with why he never popped up again.

he came back multiple times and kept getting re-banned, look it up on conspiratard. I think he spat the dummy and quit for good eventually.

Oh, I know what happened. Theres a possibility that whoever doxxed him made that account and pretended to be him.

citations:

  • Unremoved original discussion of his ban in /r/conspiratard
  • Every account suspected to be his alt is banned/deleted. That user with well sourced doxxing claim is shadowbanned as well. AFAIK, impostors aren't getting shadowbanned so readily. People who annoyed admins repeatedly are, though.
  • There's "delete" button under every post you make and "delete account" button in your profile. If his concern was "but my nick is pretty unique and searchable!", then I don't think admins succeeded in wiping it from redditors' memories. This just doesn't make sense.

I don't know if the admins actually deleted his account or he did himself, but I think its much more plausible that he received threats and that the admins got involved. It explains the errant comments supporting that idea, along with the mods of /r/conspiratard deleting every mention of the guy.

Besides, I can't imagine such a avid nut job having that kind of melt down then just vanishing from the site completely.

I can see why. He seems to use the same username all over the place. That's bad news.

You and the Richard_Gage who participated in that AMA seem to be one and the same person from what I can tell.

PilotsForTruth is still around? I thought he got banned for financial self-promotion or something.

I'm glad GayUnicorn still isn't around though. I feel dirty using this word but it's appropriate as per its definition and GU's history - he was PFT's #1 shill.

He's still shadowbanned - if you click his name you get "Page not found".

Shadowbanned users' posts still show up if mods of a subreddit approve them.

Aha, I thought as much.

The guy exclusively posts his for profit links. It is rare something doesn't have a donation link on it for him.

I do it for all accounts like that.

Do you not find it remotely suspicious that PilotsforTruth - a banned troll account - made this claim, with no evidence except a copypasta of a supposed email (yeah right...thats about as convincing as NISTs reports!)...

firstly:

BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA with that last line, you seriously sound like a cartoon version of a super eager community action leader speaking on the subject of baked goods.

secondly:

anyone else notice how gay unicorn above and the pilots for truth both pepper their sentences with ellipses? smells like a conspiracy to me!

Was there any joke from the troll/imposter. Or was getting caught and the fallout the payoff?

I don't think the /r/conspiracy community minds trolls and fakes just so long as the narrative they produce is acceptable. The lack of reaction to this fake is testament to that... Compare this to the overreaction to an ordinary user who dares to simply speaks their mind against known truths.

Seeing that kind of circlejerk a lot from an /r/undelete perspective. It seems people embrace the likes of magnora even if he is easily discredited by long time conspiracy posters.

Good find OP. This is the kind of conspiracy drama I can get behind. When they look like absolute idiots.

Edit: The more I see 9/11 conspiracy theories the more I think that the jooz shouldn't have collapsed building 7 for absolutely no reason. It really gave away the whole conspiracy part of it. I mean, since the conspiracy theorists mention it so often it must such a strong point for them.

Ho...leee...shit. That's a hugely paranoid rambling that tries to make the case that 9/11 was intentionally designed to make conspiracy theorists look silly.
