This is why I am sad tonight. Except ‘sad’ doesn’t cover how I’m feeling at all - neither does ‘disgusted’ or ‘appalled’, I’m beyond that: I’m scared. I am genuinely scared by these tweets, and by the fact that people defend and excuse them by labelling it ‘banter’ or ‘satirical’ as if that makes it better. The icing on the cake is being told I’m ‘being sensitive’ as I sit here feeling physically sick because of these awful words. HOW can people claim that rape culture doesn’t exist!? Just LOOK.

Every single one of these people is either a rapist or a potential rapist.

The worst thing is, you don’t exactly have to look hard to find people like this.
