I'm not calling the game intolerant. I am calling the statement intolerant. He can write whatever characters he wants. But that is at best an off color joke. Replace size with race and this would have been a shit storm. I don't think the writer is bad, especially since this was likely to be taken as a joke, it can just be read as really bad. Adult people of all sizes exist. Adult humans can vary between 3-8 feet tall in the most extreme cases. Hes free to write whatever specification he wants for his characters but making a broad statement like "shorter people shouldnt be dated! they look like kids!" is a pretty nasty remark for him a a real writer to make. If he made Harding uncomfortable with it as a character or something thats just how she is written.
