Hash it up
Fast and Simple. Users in over 200 countries have downloaded HashTab to use as a simple MD5 checker or for a more advanced file integrity check.
HashTab provides OS extensions to calculate file hashes and supports many hash algorithms such as MD5, SHA1, SHA2, RipeMD, HAVAL and Whirlpool. As Windows desktop software HashTab runs as a Windows shell extension and on the Mac it is implemented as a Finder plugin. HashTab provides an easy way to verify file integrity and authenticity.
Changes for Version 5.2 include:
- Support for SHA-3 (Keccak)
- Updated Korean translation
- Fixed a problem where settings were not being persisted
NOTE: HashTab for Windows is free for individuals that use the software on their own home computer. If you are a home computer user, it’s free. If you are a student, it’s free. If you are a charitable organization, it’s free.
HashTab is not free if you use it at work. Hashtab is $10 USD for a perpetual single-user license. On Mac OSX, you must obtain HashTab from the Mac App store. It costs about as much as a really good donut. There is no free option on Mac OSX.
