I thought that most of people had agreed that misery between humans isn't something that should be compared. "Their sadness is worse than your sadness" etc.

Maybe anorexia is not the best known killer in Sierra Leone right now. Anorexia isn't well known in the United states, either. A lot of people seem to think it's a choice, when it's a (admittedly usually nonfatal) combination of poor self esteem, a lack of support, poor brain chemistry, an a bad environment, that makes people sick; it spirals out of control when the brain can't make what it needs anymore, and can't function clearly. That exists in Sierra Leone. It's still awful, even though it may manifest as depression or anarchy instead. Would you tell an American with it to get over it? Would you tell that to the anarchist who doesn't trust the government not to lie to him in Sierra Leone? Would that change anything, except for making another human feel bad or attacked for things they know spiralled out of control?

You seem to think someone with anorexia wanted it, somewhere, deep down inside themselves. You wouldn't use the argument of a divided country cherishing food when they get it otherwise.

The anarchist doesn't want to fight, he wants his national pride back. The young white girl struggling to cope doesn't want to become sick; she wants her pride and self esteem back.
