to go with that ask about opposing research for a cure for autism, i was wondering what you think about autistic people who do want a cure?
I think they don;t realise the implications that has for other autistic people
Like if there was a cure for autism
- do you honestly believe it would be our choice to take it and not the parents and doctors forcing it onto children and vulnerable adults who don;t or who can;t consent?
- and I worry what it would mean for the adults who did manage to avoid getting it forced on them too, would they be criticised for wanting accommodations because hey we could always get cured and fix it
