Jake Cloudchair

北海道出身
13歳の頃よりギターを弾き始め、独学で様々なジャンルの演奏テクニックを習得。
空間的なアンビエント・サウンドやテクニカルなソロなど臨機応変のスタイルと技術、
そして特徴的なトーンをあわせ持つギタリスト。
1992年,Guniw Toolsのメンバーとしてデビュー。以来プロ・ミュージシャンとして活動。
2003年以降は自身のプロジェクトcloudchairでのライブ・制作活動をメインに、
ギタリスト・作曲家としてアーティストのライブやレコーディングに参加（櫻井敦司、清春、ENDS、hitomi、T.M.Revolution…等）
近年は活動の幅を広げ、CM音楽 / ウェブデザイン / 映像制作等も手がける。
楽器のデモ映像は特に国際的に高い評価を受けている。
YouTubeで公開している演奏がLine 6の公式ウェブサイトで取り上げられている。

Begun to play guitar when I was 13 years old.
Self-taught various guitar techniques and playing styles.
A guitarist has versatile styles and techniques that from the cool ambient sound to the hot lead play, and unique tones.
Working as a guitarist / composer for live performances and recordings
with following artists: Atsushi Sakurai(Buck-Tick), Kiyoharu, ENDS, hitomi, Mariko Ide, T.M.Revolution and more.
The performance movies in YouTube are evaluated globally. Line 6 introduced me on their website.

Guniw Tools
- 1992年
- Guniw Toolsに加入。ギター/作曲/アレンジ/ミックス等を担当。
“Prototype 1″, “Prototype 2″, “Conspiracy of Silence”, “Peacemaker on the Table”, “Refuge”, “Of the Foul”等の音源及び映像作品を自主制作。 - 1995年
- ビクターエンタテインメントと契約を結ぶ。レコーディングの後に上京。
- 1996年
- ビデオ集”1992 – 1994″でメジャーデビュー。1stアルバム”Niwlun”, ビデオ集”VV Niwlun”, シングル”Fancy Pink”発表。
- 1997年
- シングル”ヨモギの心”, 2ndアルバムOther Goose”、ミニアルバム”Sparky”, ビデオ”VV Other Goose”, “VV Sparky”発表。
NHKホールでのライブを最後に脱退。 - 1998年
- 在籍時最後のライブを収録したアルバム”Live Sparky”, ビデオ”VV Live Sparky”発表。

様々な形態でライブ活動を展開し、圧倒的な音響空間を作り出す。
リスナーがそれぞれの心象風景を想い描けるような、音楽的環境を提供することを目指している。

- 101Aのボーカリストnoahとのコラボレーションによるライブ音源“live [gift]“を無料配信。
ソロギター演奏を収録したライブ作品“Solo Guitar Live Tracks 2011″配信。 - SHILFEE AND TULIPCOROBOCKLESのライブにゲスト出演。Guniw Tools以来14年ぶりに古川ともと共演。

cloudchair
cloudchair is a solo project of Jake as known as an unique guitarist of Guniw Tools and Super Soul Sonics.
The project has flexible style of performance in case of performance of band consists of many great players
from the bands of about tess, unkie, 101A, the collectors, etc
