All-you-can-eat barbecue really vaulted Koreatown's status from a quaint dining neighborhood to a bonafide destination, with rabid meat eaters coming from across the city to get their fill of tableside grilled beef and pork. Now one of the originators of the trend, Manna Korean BBQ, has returned to Koreatown after a few years of Hiatus.
Though the concept had opened up a huge location inside the Little Tokyo Galleria Mall, they've hit the former Tahoe Galbi space on Wilshire a few clicks west of Western. Prices and format are familiar, about $18 for entry level AYCE, and $27 for the premium selections.
Another major difference from the Olympic Blvd original is the banchan bar, which is great for people who don't like to ask servers for refills. And finally, since most AYCE barbecue doesn't tend to have much in the way of dessert, you can grab a handy macaron ice cream sandwich on the way out for $3.50. Open 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays, and until 1 a.m. on weekends.
