Anonymous asked: Can I ask you for advice? A few weeks ago, I thought to myself that I don't completely think of myself as a girl? Like, I'm half girl half agender, but sometimes I'll think, hey, instead of being half agender, you're half boy, or sometimes I'll be like, yeah, I'm a cis girl. Does that make me a genderfluid demigirl? Or just a demigirl that changes from time to time. Also, do you think this is a phase with me being comfortable as a cis girl sometimes? Thanks!

You know, I don’t think it really matters if it’s a ‘phase’ or not. I think gender can be fluid, and I don’t have a problem with that. I don’t think it makes it any less legitimate if your gender does move around, that’s not a problem. So it doesn’t really matter if it’s a ‘phase’ or not, because maybe you do go through phases with your gender and there’s nothing wrong with that. Some people experience gender like that an that’s fine.

I can’t tell you what you are. It sounds like you could be that, yes. It sounds like your label could shift with how you’re feeling, and that’s okay too. Or maybe you prefer a static label that encompasses a shifting gender, which is also fine. At the end of the day, it’s up to you.
