Apparently a trans "woman" with XY chromosomes suffers from "penis regret" rather than "penis envy".

It's too confusing for me.

That's why I keep it old school and stick with the genetics and congenital equipment:

  1. XX born with an innie, XY born with an outtie, anything else is a birth defect

  2. XX grownups have an innie, XY grownups have an outtie, anything else is either an unfortunate accident or intentional self-mutilation.

That shouldn't be too confusing.

Personally I think trans surgery should be outlawed, along with all other forms of elective self-mutilation by surgery. At the very least, punish the doctors for violating their Hippocratic Oath by removing their licenses to practice.

Hrm, arent most of the people in that sub pro-religion, pro-conservatism, and pro-hetero ?

Their only gripe, and likely reason for linking to your post, is that you are in favor of giving the government the power to regulate medicine. They would think that doctors should not be licensed, and that medicinal practices should not be outlawed, no matter what practice it may be.

your other positions are completely compatible i would say.

and there is nothing wrong with basements ;)

From my extensive time with and around "Libertarians," and my brief exposure to their sub and the SSS sub mentioned, my impression is that they're anti-Christian but pro all other religions, anti-Conservative in any way other than fiscal, and pro-Sexual regardless of orientation be it sexual inside the species, or involving animals.

Basically, they confuse "liberty" with LICENSE, and confuse "personal responsibility" with HEDONISM.

If they ever actually do get a glimpse of their utopian "world without a State," they'll regret having never read any Hobbes, or never having learned, through reading or life, that other people given equal license to themselves might do things that impact their environment in unforeseen, negative ways.

Very interesting experience, and so different than mine.

anti-Christian but pro all other religions,

Every real life libertarian I know is a hard core christian.

anti-Conservative in any way other than fiscal

I would disagree with this completely: they are conservative in nearly everyway, except that they dont want to have a big government over their shoulders. Dont most conservative want a small government too ?

pro-Sexual regardless of orientation be it sexual inside the species, or involving animals.

only to the extent that they dont think there should be laws about it.

Maybe so, but i think the current government is making quite a mess of the environment so its worth making a change in that regard.

You must not get around much.

I'll address this below.

Liberty, meet LICENSE. License, meet liberty.

Maybe so, but i think the current government is making quite a mess of the environment so its worth making a change in that regard.

Greeny detected.

Where most Conservatives have a mental block is with the difference between a SMALL government, and a COMPETENT government that serves the people it governs and functions according to its written mandate. Most arguments for "small" actually stem from a desire for competence (or an argument that government is inherently incompetent) and a desire for a government that governs according to mandate e.g. the best interests of the people.

If the government were competent and followed its mandate, nobody on the Conservative side would want such a government to be small; they'd want it to be BIG, so it could keep doing the job it was designed to do and was doing.

The primary Libertarian mental block is thinking that, if everyone were given unlimited LICENSE, that everyone would do what they, themselves, find acceptable, and would show the same consideration for others that they, themselves, IMAGINE that they would show if given said license. Unbiased observation of the real world, and of history, shows that both of those assumptions are dead wrong.

Wow, thats not the conservative mindset I know of. Big government and Big taxes isnt what I vote for.

Its not about that at all. There are still consequences for actions, and self defense too.

The other man, Orlando, who still looks and dresses androgynously, stated he was “shocked” to see his penis gone after the surgery. Absolutely shocked. Orlando passed very nicely as a woman and managed to trick a man who wanted children into marrying him. Orlando describes his many machinations in covering up, but after a decade the truth came out and the “marriage” ended.

If marriage is a contract why isn't this fraud? Pretty sickening.

a man who wanted children

...

after a decade

Easier for a man to still get kids after blowing ten years, but there are still the children he could've had that don't exist, the family he could've had that doesn't exist. Ten thanksgivings, birthdays, and Christmasses that might've brought his family together with his extended family. Grandparents and great-grandparents who'll die earlier in his kids' lives.

Fucking hell.

I pitied transpeople for ruining their ability to live as their born sex, without really gaining the ability to live as the other sex. I didn't think about how much damage they could do to innocents.
