I think what really happened was that you were getting anxious that more and more people were getting suspicious of your relationship with the other mod here who constantly promotes your content. I'm sure that your current course of action was discussed and approved with a sweating /u/mrhodesit so that you two could cover your bases, get your stories straight and hope this whole thing blows over. It won't, because /u/mrhodesit's shitty performance as a moderator will serve as a constant reminder that he, too, needs to resign. Just out of curiosity; what kind of deal did you two have going that required him promoting your channel and merch website?
