Germany being a workaholic is not THE JOKE of comics with it, its just the characterization, a comedy device that drives Germany into doing whatever comical situation the comic brings about. A sysnopis wont be "Germany is workaholic", it would be "Germany goes on a vacation and disturbs the locals with its methods" Italy switching sides is indeed a meat-and-punchline joke, just like surrendering france or Serbia Remove Kebab. But those differ from the one in the OP because they werent done to death yet. Its just that at some point each is done to a fault, you have seen this joke in this situation already, you know what is coming. Unless the writer subverts or inverts or double-subverts the joke its just the same thing you saw again. And it gets boring.

So yeah, maybe im a little (a lot) biased, but this specific "Holocaust monies" joke In My Opinion is past its prime, like High Netherlands or whatever. Maybe not enough for a JLP, but just enough to tone it down a bit.
