If you just want to break up with someone because they’re trans? Yeah, that’s pretty transphobic, and you need to examine that. I’m not saying that you should stay with someone you don’t want to stay with, even if it is because they’re transgender, but look. We’re all constantly fed that being trans is ‘gross’ or ‘unnatural’, and surprisingly, very few people know on a practical level what being trans actually means. You have internalised all of that as you navigate through society, and you need to examine that and understand that. So don’t stay with someone if you don’t want to stay with them, but understand that breaking up with someone for being trans is based in transphobia.
p.s. it’s ‘transgender’ not ‘transgendered’, you wouldn’t say ‘talled’.
