Because people have anger and stress with no outlet. Finding someone who represents things that annoy us is cathartic, although admittedly not healthy for the person in the photo, and letting out our frustrations feels good. It can improve our relations to those close to is by providing an outlet. But again, a reminder, when you PUBLISH FOR THE WORLD TO SEE, they just might.

In addition, the recent hate-wave of modern "feminists" trying to demonize every poor kid who like playing mario, condescending vegan/vegetarians telling me my diet is "literally murder", and Faux-journalists who parrot this infantile bullshit are all easy, and deserving targets of shame, and embarrassment.

And the front page is a litmus test. See how badly these well-meaning (benefit of the doubt, but doubt there is) people are sabotaging decades of progress in the name of their own ego and ignorance and you too will be mad. I honestly feel terrible for the majority of actual feminists, reporters, and alternative-dieters, as they are good people. But as we have learned watching public perception of the Muslim population, it's the noisy assholes who will become the representative face of your group unless you combat it constantly.

It's sad these movements are now unfairly demonized, but not unusual. It is far easier for the trolls and the ignorant to co-opt a real movement then to put in the effort to start one themselves.

TL;DR - Sad, lazy people, on both sides.
