Would like to change shortcut for opening link in background tab

would like to change shortcut for opening link in background tabThe shortcut for opening a link in a background tab is Ctl Shift Enter (Click). I would like to simplify this to Ctl Enter. When I close Opera, edit profile/standard_keyboard(1), and do a Find on background, it comes up in four places: History Panel, Browser Widget, Bookmarks Widget, and Links Widget. However, when I run Opera and do Tools, Preferences, Shortcuts, Edit Copy of Opera Standard, and do a quick find on background, it only comes up in three places, History Panel, Browser Widget and Bookmarks Widget. No Links Widget. In fact, I can't find Links Widget at in this method of editing, either by wandering around or by searching with Quick Find. I tried making changes by directly editing standard_keyboard(1) (with Opera closed). Now when I do the Edit Keyboard Setup within Opera and search on background, in all three places, it very nicely says Enter ctrl Open link in background page But the fourth place is still missing, and when I'm browsing, ctrl click opens the link in the same window (tab). Shift click opens the link in a foreground new tab, as I told it to do. By the way, ctrl enter doesn't do anything. Ctl Shift Enter (Click) is just too many keys for me. I use a touchpad, so there's no middle mouse button, and the right-button is inconveniently located.

Ctrl+click and Ctrl+Shift+click are hardcoded so it's not possible to assign them other actions. If you are using a mouse, middle click will do the job (shift+middle click if you want to change the middle click behaviour).

No, and yes. You can't change what Ctrl-Shift-click does (or Ctrl-click, or Shift-click), but you can assign that action to other shortcuts as well.
