Currently I have firefox set to load links in the background if I middle click a link. If I left click then the link will load in the current tab. This is all good except for one thing...

Say I am on a forum that, when clicking a link in a post, opens up a new tab. This is what I want: If I left click the link I want the tab to load in the foreground; if I middle click the link I want the tab to load in the background. Can this be done? If so I can put Opera to bed for good!

Oh, and quickly, on an unrelated note: can tabs be minimized?

Thanks.

profile->chrome->userchrome.css

tab{
max-height: 18pt !important;
}

if it's that what you meant..

Sorry I should have been clearer. I want the following behaviour when I say 'minimize':

Say I have 3 tabs open. I am at the left-most tab, and the middle tab is minimized. Then if I were to close the left tab, I would be automatically taken to the right-most tab. In other words, the middle tab was skipped over because it's 'minimized'.

Well I found a workaround for the second issue. Since I have it set to switch to the tab at the immediate right when I close a current tab, all I have to do in order to 'minimize' is simply to move that tab to the far left (drag and drop). Then it will only be accessed after all the other tabs to the right have been closed.

Still wondering about the first issue though!
