There could be HD GoPro footage of Michael Brown assaulting the officer and grabbing for the gun, and there would still be riots. The facts simply do not matter to them, it's no more than "one of them killed one of us."

My first reaction to the marijuana thing was that it doesn't matter and that it only shows that he had smoked in the last couple of weeks, but the article says they found it in his blood - therefore the use was much more recent and he was probably high during all of this.

Does that even matter? Studies show those high on THC are generally less violent. I'm not sure why its relevant except for an added reason to paint Brown as a criminal

They also exhibit higher levels of paranoia. Couple this with the potential evidence of him robbing a store shortly before this, the paranoia of a cop approaching shortly after committing a crime could have caused the violent reaction. Granted this is all circumstantial, but since nearly everything with this case is circumstantial, it at least bears discussion.

It's got more to do with the riots, the protests, aren't about Brown, not exactly at least. This is event was basically the "okay" to release the pent up frustration with racism (real or perceived) in the city. In addition to that, there's people who take the opportunity to loot, and police standing 30 feet away watching them do it.
